Two Wheels, Maximum Thrills: Teesside’s Inaugural NBS Championship

Our first in-house NBS Championship

2025 marks a ground breaking year for Teesside Motorsports as we launch our first in-house NBS Championship. The series, which features five high-intensity races spread across four action-packed weekends, has already received enthusiastic acclaim from both teams and riders alike.

2025 Race Calendar:

  • May 30th-31st: 8-Hour Race (Round 1)
  • June 1st: Moped Mayhem – 4-Hour Special Event
  • August 1st-3rd: 12-Hour Race (Rounds 2 & 3)
  • October 10th-12th: Double Six – 2x 6-Hour Races (Rounds 4 & 5)

    Championship Structure

The carefully crafted series brings together the UK’s most talented 125cc endurance racing teams, competing in events ranging from 6 to 12 hours of non-stop racing action. Our 2.1km circuit, with its technical layout and professional infrastructure, provides the perfect stage for this exciting new chapter in two-wheel racing.

HondaAF Trophy

Adding extra excitement to the championship, we’ve introduced the HondaAF Trophy – a specialized sub-class that recognizes excellence among Honda riders. The top three Honda bikes receive awards at each round, with an overall winners’ trophy presented at the year-end celebration.

Moped Mayhem

June brings a unique addition to our two-wheel calendar with the optional Moped Mayhem event. This special race format adds variety to the championship, allowing teams to showcase their skills in a different racing environment.

As July approaches, the karting world turns its attention to France, where the legendary Le Mans 24hr Kart Race will celebrate its 34th running on the prestigious Alain Prost Circuit. From July 11th-13th, 46 teams will write another chapter in this storied event’s history, pushing themselves and their machines to the limit in one of motorsport’s most demanding challenges.

Since its inception in 1991, the Le Mans 24hr has grown from a ambitious concept to one of karting’s most prestigious events. The race, held on a circuit named after France’s most successful Formula 1 driver, combines the historical significance of Le Mans with the raw excitement of endurance karting.

While many focus on the physical demands of driving, team strategy plays an equally crucial role. With 4-6 drivers per team, finding the perfect balance between speed and endurance becomes a chess game played at racing speeds. By Tuesday, the paddock starts its metamorphosis as owner-driver teams arrive, their transporters and tools creating the first brushstrokes of what will become a canvas of racing excellence. These dedicated enthusiasts get first dibs at track time, with Wednesday bringing an intensive 8-hour practice session – a crucial opportunity to fine-tune their machines without the hire teams in attendance.

Meanwhile, the hire teams begin their own pilgrimage, arriving with tents and equipment in tow. Like a well-choreographed dance, they stake their claims along the viewing bank, each choosing their spot for the marathon ahead.
